All Addigy-enrolled Macs supported by Ntiva have access to MacManage in their Applications folder. This lightweight application allows you to install trusted applications with a single click, provides updated contact information for the Ntiva support desk, and more.
If you browse through the Install section of MacManage, you'll come across many useful items that aren't applications. Here's some information on the common items you may find. Not every tool is available at every organization, or you may see some unique items for your team.
Please note that for any item in MacManage, you can click the (i) button to check for more detailed descriptions.
Check for Major Updates
This item will launch System Settings/Preferences > Software Update to check for new macOS updates as well as launch Microsoft AutoUpdate on your Mac.
FileVault - Enable
This item will prompt you for your password and attempt to enable FileVault full disk encryption on your Mac. If the install button is greyed out, like in this screenshot, your computer is already encrypted or your user account lacks adequate permissions to enable FileVault.
FileVault - Pass Secure Token to Admin
This item allows you to repair FileVault encryption/decryption permissions on your local admin user account. If the install button is greyed out, either the local admin account already has the correct permissions or your account lacks the permissions necessary to pass on.
FileVault - Pass Secure Token to My Account
This item attempts to grant your user account FileVault encryption/decryption permissions should they be missing. If the install button is greyed out, either your user account already has the correct permissions or the local admin account lacks the permissions necessary to pass on.
Note that due to the character limit for MacManage titles, it can be difficult to differentiate the two above items. Use the (i) button to confirm you're running the correct item or use MacManage's search field to specify which one you're looking for.
FileVault - Repair my Volume Ownership
This item attempts to repair FileVault encryption permissions should your account's login password fall out of sync with your FileVault password. If the install button is greyed out, the local admin account lacks the necessary permissions to ensure your encryption password can be rotated safely.
FileVault - User-driven key rotation and escrow
This item refreshes and escrows your Mac's FileVault Recovery Key to Addigy. Once your key is escrowed, our support team will be able to retrieve it in the future should your Mac be inaccessible due to mismatched FileVault login credentials.
Google Chrome - Reset Screen Recording Permissions
This item resets Google Chrome's permissions database. After running it, the next time you utilize a website or service that requires screen sharing/recording permission, you should receive a fresh prompt to allow it. Use this if Chrome has not been requesting screen-sharing permissions when needed.
Java Uninstaller
Run this to remove Java from your Mac. While rare nowadays, older systems may have unused/unpatched versions of Java installed. These older builds may have security vulnerabilities, so we recommend running this to clean out Java if you don't rely on it.
Keynote - Uninstaller
Removes the Keynote app from your Mac, even if your user account is not a local administrator. This can be helpful when troubleshooting the Keynote app or Keynote software updates.
Microsoft Teams - Uninstall

Microsoft Teams (work or school) - Uninstaller
Removes Microsoft Teams (work or school) from this Mac. This is the most common version of Teams you'll find in use today.
Microsoft Teams classic - Uninstaller

Ntiva Forms
Click to launch the Ntiva Forms page in your web browser. Current forms include "New Hire or Termination" and "New Mac".

Renames your macOS software update and installation receipts log, kickstarting the SoftwareUpdate process. This can be helpful when troubleshooting the visibility of new macOS software updates.
Reinstall macOS
Downloads and reinstalls the newest release of your current macOS version. This process does not erase the computer and should retain your personal data. That said, we always recommend confirming you have a recent backup before performing any major macOS installation. Requires Mac OS X 10.15 (Catalina) or later.
Script - Clear font caches
Clears system font caches and reboots your computer. Please save your work and close all open applications before running this tool.
Script - Rebuild Spotlight
Initiates a Spotlight rebuild on your Mac. If you're getting unexpected or missing results when searching your Mac, this tool may resolve it. While the rebuild will appear to run in just a few seconds, it will continue running in the background for up to a few hours. You can continue using your Mac while it's working.
Set Default App
There are a number of "Set Default App" items in MacManage that you can use to change the default application used for many different tasks or file types. Some of these items can chang your default web browser, email client, PDF editor, and even switch between defaulting between Microsoft Office applications and Apple's Pages, Numbers, and Keynote apps.
Software Update - Kickstart Process
Kickstarts (closes and relaunches) the Software Update process on your Mac. This is a helpful troubleshooting step if your Mac is not detecting new macOS software updates.
