One way your organization protects company data on your Mac is with FileVault encryption. FileVault generally activates automatically, so all you must do is restart your Mac and approve the popup when logging out or in. However, there can be times when it becomes necessary to activate FileVault manually. For best results, please follow these steps.
Manual Activation
- Navigate to your Applications folder (or SupportMenu on MacOS 11 Big Sur or later), and open MacManage.
- Search for the item called “FileVault - Enable” and click Install:
- When prompted, type in your Mac login password:
- Click OK when the process is complete.
If you run into any trouble along the way, feel free to contact Ntiva for support.
