We want you to be successful as you take full advantage of the Apple ecosystem with your organization. You may have one Apple device, several hundred, or several thousand. In all situations, the journey begins with Apple Business (AB).
An Apple Business account is required to create the MDM enrollment profile required to connect your Apple devices to Ntiva's MDM solution. It is NOT optional. Management of company devices must establish a chain of trust from the organization, to Apple, to Ntiva, and then to your devices and users.
Note that you'll need to provide an email address that is not currently in use as an Apple Account (including for the App Store or iCloud). It can be helpful to create a new alias or distribution list for this purpose, like jdoe-abm@yourdomain.com. This email address will be your primary Apple Business administrator. Please note that this email address must be identifiably tied to a person to work. You cannot use an address like "abm-admin@yourdomain.com" or it will be flagged for review.
Click Continue and follow the steps to set up your new AB Admin Apple Account. During your first login, you'll be prompted to accept Apple's Terms & Conditions, and you can optionally "Customize your experience" by selecting what features interest you the most.
Verifying your account
Now that you're signed into Apple Business, you'll need to verify your organization's identity with Apple. This must be done within 60 days, or your Apple Business account will be permanently deleted. You should see this banner at the top of your Apple Business page upon signing in:
If not, click on your organization name in the top-right corner, then the Settings button, and click Verify Now. If you don't see the banner, you can find the button by clicking on your name in the top-right corner, clicking Settings, then Organization:
You'll be asked to verify your account using two of the following four methods (for most organizations, the easiest methods are 1 and 2):

Don’t know your D-U-N-S number? Look it up here. Please note that the Business Name field should match the info on your DUNS number record. If the number and business name are entered correctly, the Organization Information fields should automatically populate.
To verify your domain, you'll need to add a TXT record to your DNS. Apple has a thorough guide on this process available here.
If you run into any problems, please contact Apple Business Manager support at 1-866-902-7144 to proceed.
In the meantime, see this next article for how to invite Ntiva as an administrator to your Apple Business instance. We can take the next steps in configuring your Addigy enrollment profile and begin preparing for zero-touch enrollment for Apple devices.
Note: the verification process must be completed before we can generate your enrollment links.
Contact Ntiva if you have any questions or need any other assistance!
